Muse
So I’ve been listening to more music of late as my car was in the shop for a full week while a dent to my hood and my driver side mirror was replaced because a piece of freeway debris flew up and caused said damage to my then, 2 week old car.

Discussions with Brian resulted in an idea to broadcast or link the model build gatherings via webcams. I’d like to have something similar to video conferencing. So I’m sure the video camera dhcloud lent me would suffice, I think I would just need to play around with some video conferencing software. But the general idea is to help spread the knowledge. I know most of the folks at the build gatherings have learned an insurmountable amount of model building techniques simply by building together. Imagine the possibilities if we can get this to work properly.
Still trying to recover from the past couple of days of being out in Maryland. Damn fun trip! The model contest wasn’t as exciting as it has in previous years, and I guess I can be proud that AX’s model contest now surpasses Otakon’s, so I guess some good is coming from the active push to get the contest into the forefront and get more exposure for it. At Otakon, I was able to make come connections that will hopefully benefit the model contest in the coming years. I got to see some faces that I haven’t seen in two years, and saw a good number of faces that I had met at Tekkoshocon 2007. I also got better acquainted with yet another female model builder that has also attended my workshops at AX. Damn good time.
Today, I fly out to Baltimore, actually Washington Dulles airport for the largest anime convention on the eastern seaboard; Otakon (Pronounced over there as oda-con). I missed the event last year. I like this event as it is very different from Anime Expo. The events and stuff are similar, and they both are anime conventions, but there is a different vibe. I enjoy both conventions, and it is difficult to compare them because their strengths and weaknesses are so different. If they were the same convention, I wouldn’t bother going to both.
