Ok, I had to suspend the ads on the site because I was getting “yes on prop 8” from google adsense; and I am against California Proposition 8. This is a personal choice, and my opinion, so as such, I opted to remove the ads, at least until the bloody election is over. Everyone has a choice, everyone as a vote, it is your own responsibility to vote according to your convictions and what you believe. I care not to sway anyone in any direction as my opinions are that of my own, and they should not have any bearing on how others should vote.

Ads on the site help pay for running the place. I don’t really need them, but the help is nice and they are limited to small areas on the site, and I think they generally do not intrude on the content of the site. That said, I really don’t want ads on the a site that I run, that I pay for, to be promoting causes or items that are not related to the site or those that are opposite my personal opinions.

Personally, discrimination is wrong. It is great in comedy, but other than that, it has no place in our world.

I wonder if they dumped a lot of money on ads and flooded the market with their ads… One other site I visit had 3 different “yes on 8” ads all over every page of the forums… and their ads are usually slot/pachinko/gambling related… as thats what adsense usually displays for the site. I know its the last minute push, but damn I will be glad when its over tomorrow. They littered the fence at my work with signs too.

Signs are EVERYWHERE. You know; I figured this prop would have been a no brainer in Calif… I’m actually worried that it may pass now. This only further reinforces my ideals that organized religion = discrimination.

Regardless of anything, go out and vote – there are things that we still have some sort of control over. :D

I want to make sure the jackasses I saw posting the “Yes on Prop. 8” signs all over my neighborhood promptly remove them tomorrow after the election.

And then the Prop. 8 supporters can burn in hell.
