Happy New Years Ya Bastards!
So Happy New Year’s everyone and all that nice jazz. I’ve finally gotten the chance to upload some of the pictures taken from the New Year’s Eve party at my house, pictures from Anime LA, and everything else in between.

Christmas and weekend build gathering update… first the tree and my Hazel topper…
So how was everyone’s Christmas? The days since Christmas Eve have sort of melded together, so this post will encompass everything for the past few days through the Build Gathering. Holy hell I’m tired, and I’m looking forward to taking the following day as a recovery day; a good thing that I’m off for the next week.
With the recent winter storms in Southern Calif. and my need to burn off excess ATO; I had planned to head up to the mountains Friday to get some skiing in, as fresh natural powder is fairly rare out here in So Cal. With most of my friends having to work or hung up on other obligations, I was pretty much resigned to the idea that I was going alone; no biggie, I used to do this all the time when I was in the Air Force. But as luck would have it, I went to pick up Jay and Claire from the airport on Thursday, and pretty much bugged Jay about going to the mountains with me the next day. Keeping him mind that he and Claire had about 2 hours of sleep the previous night, went through a 6 hour flight, and then the asshole that I am is sitting there coercing him into waking up early the following day to head up to the local mountains and ski…. He caves.
So I have every other Friday off. I just have to work an extra hour per day, but its a nice deal, for a small sacrifice. A couple of friends came over and we headed out to the local bar and grill: Hero’s. There are about 150 or so beers on tap there, and below I have a picture of the tap list. A couple of us have acquiesced to hitting all the beers on the list as a “scientific” experiment to see which ones taste the best… I had a large Cherry Wheat, which is pretty interesting. It was like a blending of grenadine and wheat… pretty good… not a bad start. Side note for future reference, an order of the nachos can feed a full table….
In other news, I did manage to get a small amount of work on the IJ. The painted armo
r pieces were pulled and placed into boxes for storage while I work on the other parts. And I got some of the metallics painted.
