Otakon 2009

Two weeks after Anime Expo, Otakon hits the east coast. I have a workshop for gundam model building set up to happen early Saturday, so my badge is comped. I get to visit Binh and her family, and hang out with Brian. It was a fairly busy, but much more relaxing than AX – being that I had very little responsibilities.

The Duke Von Barkenstein makes an appearence…

Terry, Sam, and drove 5 miles out to the corgi breeder’s home in Anaheim Hills to pick up Duke this morning. He’s about 6 lbs and is just shy of 9 weeks old. And he’s frigging adorable. We chatted with the breeder for a short bit before driving the 11 minutes back to the house and just having fun forcing Beanie and Hugo to be social with their newly born distant cousin.

Anime Expo 2009

Holy hell, I’m tired beyond belief. This year’s Anime Expo is but a memory now. The majority of my time spent at the convention was in the Exhibit Hall and in the panels/workshop rooms. I didn’t take the time to check out any of the various events happening as this year, I was one of two assistant managers in the Exhibit Hall, and that black hole of a place just sucks the life out of you. However, I did get to spend some time with some friends I haven’t seen in years, as well as further solidify some relationships with vendors.
