Attention gunpla modelers as well as all anime/scifi related model builders!

The 2nd annual Southern California Gundam Model Competition is nearing in a few weeks. This year we have a bigger room and hopefully the word spread about last year’s competition and we’ll draw more folks this year.

Date:
Saturday November 17, 2012
Time:
9:00AM – 4:00PM
Location:
Royal Ballroom
Holiday Inn Fullerton
2932 East Nutwood Avenue
Fullerton, CA 92831

The theme for this year’s competition is the Master Grade Zaku. This means ANY variant of the MG Zaku from the first Zaku’s released back in the 90’s, Zaku I, Zaku II, the S, the Hi Mobility, the ver. 2, the cannon, minelayer, White Ogre, Johnny Ridden, Shin Matsunaga, Char’s, the resin and plastic conversions. If it’s a Zaku, it qualifies. The theme award is an additional competition category that runs in addition to what ever category your entry is placed. So think of it as entering two categories with one kit!

General Admission: $5.00
– Admission includes 1 model entry. Additional model entries will be $1.00 for each additional model.

We will follow the same format as last year with the competition registration and set up starting at 9 and running until 11:30. Then follow that with the judging which will be done while the room is open. Please do not bother the judges while they are at work, it will help speed up the judging process. Save your questions for after the awards if you are interested in how your models were critiqued.

Competition Schedule

Model registration times: 9:00AM – 11:30AM.
Judging: 11:30AM – 2:30PM
Awards Presentation: 3:30PM – 4:00PM
