This is my Scion tC. This is a 2008, Release Series 4.0. My old tC had about 73k miles on it and it was only 4 years old. So on a whim, I dropped by the local Scion dealership and looked at the new tC's. Impressed with the look and feel of the RS 4.0, I decieded to get one.
After doing a little shopping around to a few dealers, I got fed up with the typical sales crap from folks that do not normally sell Scions. I called up Longo Scion and talked to Don. I told him the specs that I wanted, TRD Exhaust (as I was used to the sound) the short shifter, and some LED lights. I asked him to build the car, then at the end of the week, send a driver out to Orange County (about 25-30 miles away from Longo) to pick me up so that I can show up and buy the car. Don was a little hesitant to fully agree to this rather odd request. So I told him to look up their database for my name - to show that my last tC was purchased from them. After a short time on hold, Don agreed to my terms. A day later Don called me up and told me that my car was ready and to reconfirm my pickup time.
With that set, I put my old tC on craigslist and that evening, a potential buyer came by to look at the car. After a few minutes, the man decides to buy my tC and will come by to pick it up the next day (same day I go to get my new tC). The deal is done in the morning, and immediately afterwards, the driver comes and takes me to Longo. I am there for about an hour and twenty minutes filling out paperwork and getting the final detailing done on the car, and I'm gone. Quick and painless car purchase.
I have yet to take pictures of my new tC but I will once I get it washed. Two weeks into driving the car, freeway debris smacked into it and the poor thing was in the shop for a week getting repairs. I have created a new page to hold my old tC pictures for historical purposes. And will add additional pages for random things I do and add to the new RS 4.0.
